Thank you for reading our meditations and sharing your thoughts with us.  Due to retreats, vacations, and other things, we will take a break this summer.  Watch for us to come back in August.

Read these words from I Kings 19:11-13:
The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.”  Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind.  After the wind, there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake.  After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire.  And after the fire came a gentle whisper.  When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave.
Often we look for God or expect Him to get our attention with a big grandiose affair.  God, however, nudges us with His whispers and also with all that is around us everyday.
Our meditations are offered by various staff members two to three times a week.  We hope that you will find yourself invited to find God in the midst of your daily life, in the Scriptures, in His creation, and all that you experience.

As you go through these summer months, listen for God’s whisper to you.
