Costa Rica Mission Trip

Mission Trip Plans

For those interested in participating on a mission trip,
opportunities are available through UMVIM
which is United Methodist Volunteers in Mission.
For more information on these, UMVIM, and how it operates,
go to its website at www.umvim.org.
They have a list of projects and teams looking for those
who are willing serve on a mission team.

A Brief History

Our seventh Trinity mission trip was held January 18-26, 2020.
(The 2021, 2022, and 2023 trips were cancelled due to the coronavirus).
Trinity sponsored this trip with the approval of UMVIM (United Methodist Volunteers in Mission).  Lodging was at the Methodist Rural Center, located in Ciudad Quesada.  The center is now in transition; we will be informing you of a new director for it as well as a new name for the camp itself.

Our Goal

Our goal is to be the hands and feet of Jesus, working hand in hand with our Costa Rican Christian brothers and sisters offering projects and ministries that include construction, Vacation Bible School, and women’s ministries, and distribution of items such as Bibles, toys for children, reading glasses, etc., as they are available for us to take with us and hand out in the neighboring rural communities.

The Cost

The cost for the trip covers airline ticket, transportation in CR, meals, tips, lodging, leisure day activities, etc.  Missioners provide their own funds for this trip. The team raises funds for the work project and ministries.

For 2022, thank you for your contributions.  Funds were sent to Santa Rosa, Costa Rica, to replace a roof on a church and do repairs to a parsonage roof and bathroom that otherwise they could not afford.

These are pictures of the church and parsonage.

Again we thank everyone for their support.  We couldn’t do it without you!

Thank You!

Thank you for keeping Costa Rica Missions and Trinity Outreach in your prayers.
