A Message from Admin Council
“The Administrative Council of Trinity United Methodist Church, Anderson hereby agrees that Trinity UMC will not enter into any process that will lead to separation/disaffiliation from the United Methodist Church prior to the decisions at General Conference 2024 scheduled for April 24 – May 3, 2024 at the Charlotte Conference Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.”
We are your Administrative Council, elected at our Charge Conference in late 2022 to lead your church. We see, hear, and feel the pain in all quarters at Trinity. There are many concerns about what will happen surrounding the General Conference, and we share many of those concerns.
Here is what we do know: Trinity will maintain the course, governed by the South Carolina Annual Conference and the United Methodist Church’s Book of Discipline.
Here is what we can do now: Maintain focus on what we can do: Our Mission; our Discipleship; our Community Outreach activities.
Let’s set aside those things we cannot know or control and just continue being Trinity.
