Costa Rica Mission Trip

Mission Trip Plans for 2022

Due to traveling and health issues affected by the COVID-19 virus, Trinity’s UMVIM mission trip to Costa Rica is now on hold for 2022.

A Brief History

Our seventh Trinity mission trip was held January 18-26, 2020.   (The 2021 trip was cancelled due to the coronavirus).
Trinity sponsored this trip with the approval of UMVIM (United Methodist Volunteers in Mission).  Lodging was at the Methodist Rural Center, located in Ciudad Quesada.  Working with Mary Woods, Director of the Center, she and her colleagues determine the needs and where we can best serve with the people of Costa Rica.

Our Goal

Our goal is to be the hands and feet of Jesus, working hand in hand with our Costa Rican Christian brothers and sisters offering projects and ministries that include construction, Vacation Bible School, and women’s ministries, and distribution of items such as Bibles, toys for children, reading glasses, etc., as they are available for us to take with us and hand out in the neighboring rural communities.

The Cost

The cost for the trip covers airline ticket, transportation in CR, meals, tips, lodging, leisure day activities, etc.  Missioners provide their own funds for this trip. The team raises funds for the work project and ministries.

Monetary donations are accepted throughout the year and we thank you in advance for your generosity.  Every donation, large or small, helps us offer these ministries in Costa Rica.   Monetary donations can be made to Trinity UMC Mission Team,  c/o Trinity UMC, 1809 N. Main Street, Anderson, SC  29621.  Again we thank everyone for their support.  We couldn’t do it without you!

Thank You!

Thank you for keeping Costa Rica Missions and Trinity Outreach in your prayers.
